Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh sea breeze and salted caramel drift over green apple, lemon zest and vanilla fudge, with a faint hint of heather honey. Palate: Silky waves of toffee apple, creamy malt and citrus peel glide across the tongue, followed by white-pepper warmth, toasted coconut and a subtle coastal tang. Finish: Medium-long and refreshing—lingering salted toffee, soft oak spice and a final flourish of grapefruit zest and distant camp-fire embers.
Sail into Caithness character with Pulteney 13 Year Old – 2012 Vintage, Lady of the Glen. Filled at Wick’s windswept coastal distillery and matured its entire life in a single refill bourbon barrel (#800134), this Highland malt was drawn in April 2025 at natural cask strength. Non-chill-filtered and natural in colour, only 241 individually numbered bottles capture Old Pulteney’s hallmark mix of briny sea-spray, honeyed malt and crisp orchard fruit—elegantly polished by a decade in gentle American oak.

Why We Think You’ll Love It

  • Drawn from a single refill bourbon barrel, highlighting bright orchard fruit, vanilla sweetness and signature maritime brine.

  • 13 years in Wick’s coastal warehouses balance youthful vibrancy with polished oak and gentle spice.

  • Bottled at natural cask strength (non-chill-filtered, natural colour) for full texture, aroma and authenticity.

  • Limited to 241 bottles in Lady of the Glen’s collector-focused single-cask range—ideal for lovers of crisp, coastal Highland malts.

Pour a dram of this rare Pulteney and savour an invigorating union of sea-spray freshness, honeyed malt and refined bourbon-barrel sweetness—an unforgettable taste of Scotland’s northern shore.
