Linkwood Distillery was established in 1821 by Peter Brown in the Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. Linkwood Distillery is a malt whisky distillery equipped with six stills and whilst a large percentage of Linkwood whisky flows into blends of scotch an increasing volume is appearing as single malt whisky and there are some excellent independent releases of Linkwood single malt whisky. Linkwood Distillery participates in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.
Nose Salted caramel; multi seed bread. Salted butter with faint medicinal notes.
Palate Heavier than the nose suggests. Baked apples; dried apricots with walnuts and slightly earthy.
Finish Initially fruit cocktail in syrup before drying out with coal dust and toasted brown bread.
