Nose Intense waves of peat smoke, sea spray, and tar are joined by dried fruits, treacle, and rich oak.
Palate Powerful and full-bodied, delivering flavours of bonfire smoke, dark chocolate, sherry-soaked raisins, malted barley, and roasted nuts, balanced by maritime salinity.
Finish Long and smoky, with lingering peat embers, sweet sherry richness, and coastal spice.

Distilled in 2014 and matured in a combination of 1st and 2nd fill Oloroso sherry butts, this heavily peated expression was bottled in 2025 at the traditional 100-proof strength of 57.1% ABV. It perfectly fuses smoky Islay intensity with rich sherry sweetness, creating a whisky of exceptional balance and character.

Bunnahabhain Distillery, founded in 1881 on the northeastern tip of the Isle of Islay, sits by Bunnahabhain Bay, overlooking the Sound of Islay. Originally constructed with materials ferried by puffer and unloaded at the distillery pier, it’s now tucked away at the end of a single-track road with spectacular coastal views.
