William Teacher’s son Adam Teacher established Ardmore Distillery in 1898 in Scotland’s Highland whisky region. He selected a site to the south of Huntly and next door to Kennethmont station on the Great North of Scotland Railway line and a plentiful supply of soft highland water from springs on the hills to the north and peat to hand. Whilst Ardmore Distillery continues to contribute a large proportion of its malt whisky to blends the Ardmore single malt range, including Ardmore Traditional, is slowly increasing. Full rich, with unique Highland peat-smoke notes. Earthy richness tempered by subtle sweetness.
