Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense wave of kiln smoke and tarry ropes, brightened by lime zest, peppermint and vanilla cream.
Palate: Explosive peat embers, cracked black pepper and salted liquorice glide into sweet notes of toffee, toasted coconut and citrus-infused malt.
Finish: Long, ashy and invigorating—lingering campfire smoke, a touch of espresso bean and a final splash of sea-spray salinity.

Released two years after 2004’s Very Young, this second instalment in the trilogy showcases Ardbeg spirit at around eight years old, drawn primarily from ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at a potent 56.2 % ABV. Still Young captures the distillery’s unmistakeable bonfire smoke and Atlantic brine while revealing the first hints of the complexity that would culminate in 2008’s Renaissance.
