Strathisla 21 Year Old 1992 vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whiskey. Single cask refill hogshead #9541 bottled March 2013 by Douglas Laing & Co. for the Director's Cut series.
Nose: Opens with a fresh & floral quality – sweetly spiced – running to honeycomb & cream.
Palate: Opens with a vanilla & fruit character – running to sweet spices + a soft citric character.
Finish: Medium long – still sweetly spiced – developing to chocolate, toffee + an oak tang.
Strathisla Single Malt Whiskey
Strathisla Distillery was founded in 1786 and is one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland. This distillery was built on the site of a brewery on the banks of the River Isla in Speyside. Now equipped with two pagoda roofs over the old malt kilns, classical stone walls and slate roofs, a water wheel now catching your gaze from the front wall and pulling you into the splendid heather garden Strathisla participates in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.
