And we can vouch for it being a fantastic new distillery and very welcoming to visitors. Can't wait for the whisky to roll out of here in a few years. Glenugie Distillery was established in 1831 near Peterhead in Scotland’s Highland whisky region and spent most of its working years producing malt whisky for blending. Glenugie Distillery closed in 1983 although a few buildings have survived.
