Malted barley is dried with peat and Juniper smoke at Mackmyra Distillery and a small proportion of the new spirit matured in Swedish oak casks. \u003c\/span\u003eCommercial production commenced \u003cspan\u003eat Mackmyra Distillery\u003c\/span\u003e in 2002 and casks have been laid to rest at a number of unusual sites including an old mine, on a tiny island and in a castle.
