NEW SCOTCH: We have a fantastic, rare new whisky in stock. Ever heard of Garnheath Distillery? Probably not. Only producing whisky for 21 years between 1865 to 1986 before being demolished in 1988, whisky from this Lost Scottish Distillery is very hard to come by. Our friends at Independent bottling company Morrison & MacKay have released a very limited 41 year single grain bottling and we LOVE it. We had a wee taste and you can read our blog here: https://www.thewhiskybarrel.co.uk/blog/post/tasting-garnheath This one is rather special! Glenmorangie 10 Year Old Original Highland single malt Scotch whiskey.

Gold Best in Class award winner International Wine & Spirits Competition 2011.

On the nose sherry notes with strong fruit aromas - melons, red apples. Dry, hessian note with herbal, bracken aromas. Sweet palate, winey with oak and hop flavours. Some heather blossom (honey) elements.

Glenmorangie

Glenmorangie malt whisky Distillery was established in 1843 by William Matheson at Morangie Farm where distilling had been practiced as early as 1703. Glenmorangie is situated on the shore of the Dornoch Firth at Tain in Scotland’s Highland whisky region. Tall gin stills were installed rather than shorter whisky stills when the distillery was established and so Glenmorangie has ten of the tallest whisky stills in Scotland standing  5.14m tall. Glenmorangie Distillery has a visitor centre which offers distillery tours.
