- Glenglassaugh 36 Year Old Single Cask
Glenglassaugh 30 Year Old Rare Cask series. From a single refill-sherry butt - each bottle is individually numbered and comes with its own certificate of authentication personally signed by the managing director.
Nose: Exceptionally complex nose where citrus plays an important part and a gentle note of peat lingers in the background beside the oak and floral notes. Palate: The deep mouth is redolent with maturity and layered flavours of marmalade, dark chocolate, dried dates, Demerara sugar, peat and sweet spices. Velvet smooth across the palate. Finish: Long, attention-retaining, cappuccino flavoured finish.
Glenglassaugh Single Malt Whiskey
Glenglassaugh Distillery is a Highland malt whiskey distillery situated at Sandend Bay near Portsoy on the Banffshire coast with views north over the Moray Firth and the North Sea and is one of just a very few truly coastal Highland malt whiskey distilleries. Glenglassaugh Distillery was established by James Moir and opened in 1875. This distillery was substantially re-built in 1959 and re-opened in 1960 only to close in 1986. However, Glenglassaugh was back in production in December 2008 and is now owned by Brown Forman of America.
