New tasting blog: We had another fantastic bottle through the door from our friends at Morrison & MacKay Independent bottling. This time it was a 1989 Macallan 25 year old single Malt. This is a lovely sweet and mellow dram from this long established and well renowned Scottish Speyside distillery. With only 288 bottles form the cask, this dram makes a fine addition to the Carn Mor collection and will certainly be one to add to the collection. Top dram. RT @CarnMorWhiskies: When this is your desk at work you really can't complain about it. Carn Mor Celebration Of The Cask –… https://t.co/z2…

Glen Grant 37 Year Old Speyside single malt Scotch whiskey. Single sherry cask #7646 bottled 2012 for the award winning Berry Brothers & Rudd range.

Drived fruit aromas abound with prevailing orange peel and coffee grounds. The palate gives rich bursts of citrus as the flavours swell to give teasing performance from the fruit, nut and coffee section. This is as graceful a classic old Speysider as one is likely to find and remarkably lively given its 37 years in the cask.

Glen Grant

Glen Grant Distillery is a Speyside malt whisky distillery situated in Rothes.  Established in 1840 by brothers James and John Grant, the business prospered and in 1897 Glen Grant No. 2 distillery was established across the road in order to meet the high demand for Glen Grant whisky. During the late nineteenth century a Victorian garden was laid out in the valley behind the distillery and is now open to distillery visitors. Glen Grant Distillery has a visitor centre and offers distillery tours. Glen Grant Distillery participates in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.
