Garnheath Single Grain Whiskey
The site of Moffat paper mills in Airdrie was converted into the Moffat whiskey complex in 1965 by Inver House Distillers. The complex comprised three different sets of stills including Garnheath equipped with five column stills which produced grain spirit. The complex also included a maltings which contemporarily was the largest in Europe. Garnheath Distillery closed in 1986 and was demolished in 1988. Occasionally independent bottlings of single cask Garnheath grain whiskey are released, most recently in the Cooper's Choice and Carn Mor ranges.
