Situated just south of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePeterhead\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e in Scotland’s prestigious \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHighland whisky\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e region, Glenugie expanded its production capacity by increasing its stills from two to four in \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e1956\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, continuing to produce high-quality \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003emalt whisky\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e primarily for renowned Scotch blends. Despite its successful operations and contribution to the whisky industry, Glenugie Distillery closed in \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e1983\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, and its remaining warehouses have since been converted into workshops. Today, both official and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eindependent bottlings\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e of Glenugie single malt whisky are exceptionally scarce, making them highly sought after by \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ewhisky enthusiasts\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and collectors worldwide.
