NEW SCOTCH: We have a fantastic, rare new whisky in stock. Ever heard of Garnheath Distillery? Probably not. Only producing whisky for 21 years between 1865 to 1986 before being demolished in 1988, whisky from this Lost Scottish Distillery is very hard to come by. Our friends at Independent bottling company Morrison & MacKay have released a very limited 41 year single grain bottling and we LOVE it. We had a wee taste and you can read our blog here: https://www.thewhiskybarrel.co.uk/blog/post/tasting-garnheath This one is rather special! Dllas Dhu 1975 Vinatge Speyside single malt Scotch whiskey. Matured in Refill Bourbon barrels and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail.

Nose: Fruity notes present - fresh pear and peaches. Subtle ester influences, a delicate malty edge is present. A complex aroma.

Taste: Mouth watering, remains fresh - peach elements, a subtle vanilla comes to the forefront.

Dallas Dhu

Dallas Dhu Distillery was established by Alexander Edward in 1898 and designed by Charles C. Doug. Dallas Dhu is situated near Dallas in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region but closed as a working malt whisky distillery in 1983.  Now in the care of Historic Scotland and re-opened as a distillery museum where visitors are welcomed and distillery tours are available. Dallas Dhu has retained most of its original equipment including two round wooden worm tubs and is a participant in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.
