NEW SCOTCH: We have a fantastic, rare new whisky in stock. Ever heard of Garnheath Distillery? Probably not. Only producing whisky for 21 years between 1865 to 1986 before being demolished in 1988, whisky from this Lost Scottish Distillery is very hard to come by. Our friends at Independent bottling company Morrison & MacKay have released a very limited 41 year single grain bottling and we LOVE it. We had a wee taste and you can read our blog here: https://www.thewhiskybarrel.co.uk/blog/post/tasting-garnheath This one is rather special! Dailuaine

Dailuaine Distillery was established by William Mackenzie in 1851 at Carron in the heart of Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. In 1889 Charles C. Doig was commissioned by Dailuaine Distillery to design a new roof for its malt kiln and the commission resulted in the very first Doig pagoda roof being installed at Dailuaine Distillery. The design proved successful, was rapidly adopted by other distilleries and nowadays it is the iconic symbol of Scotland’s traditional malt whisky distilleries. Unfortunately, Doig’s original roof was destroyed during a fire at Dailuaine malt whisky distillery in 1917.
