NEW SCOTCH: We have a fantastic, rare new whisky in stock. Ever heard of Garnheath Distillery? Probably not. Only producing whisky for 21 years between 1865 to 1986 before being demolished in 1988, whisky from this Lost Scottish Distillery is very hard to come by. Our friends at Independent bottling company Morrison & MacKay have released a very limited 41 year single grain bottling and we LOVE it. We had a wee taste and you can read our blog here: https://www.thewhiskybarrel.co.uk/blog/post/tasting-garnheath This one is rather special! Bowmore 15 Year Old Darkest Islay single malt Scotch whiskey. Matured in American bourbon oak and Spanish sherry casks.

This expression has warmth and depth; warming the glass in your hands before sipping brings out the classic Bowmore smokiness, dark chocolate and raisin aromas.

Bowmore

Bowmore Distillery was established on the Isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland by John Simpson in 1779. Situated in Bowmore by the shore of Loch Indaal it is the oldest working distillery on Islay and one of the oldest malt whisky distilleries in Scotland. Bowmore Distillery continues to produce a proportion of its malted barley on its own traditional malting floors and malt kilns. Visitors are welcomed in the Bowmore visitor centre where distillery tours are available in addition to Bowmore Distillery cottages to rent. Bowmore Distillery is a participant in Feis Isle, the Islay Festival of Malt and Music.
