We've come a long way since launching in 2008. Three years on we felt it was about time to spruce up our web shop; the result is TheWhiskyBarrel 2.0. We like to think it's softer, fuller bodied, peatier in the background, with a touch more orange marmalade and a longer moreish finish. And, with a splash of Highland spring we hope you will find this new web site easier to navigate than before. No spitting ice cubes here.
To celebrate a job well done a fitting memento was required and what better way than to raise a dram. Specially picked out by our chums at independent bottlers Douglas Laing; a Caol Ila matured throughout its 27 years in sherry hogshead on its home turf fitted the bill perfectly.
Bottled at cask strength (52.4%) just 120 bottles are available and each individually numbered. The label features a fitting tribute to this remarkable distillery sat nestled in the Sound of Islay since 1846. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we are right now!
