NEW SCOTCH: We have a fantastic, rare new whisky in stock. Ever heard of Garnheath Distillery? Probably not. Only producing whisky for 21 years between 1865 to 1986 before being demolished in 1988, whisky from this Lost Scottish Distillery is very hard to come by. Our friends at Independent bottling company Morrison & MacKay have released a very limited 41 year single grain bottling and we LOVE it. We had a wee taste and you can read our blog here: https://www.thewhiskybarrel.co.uk/blog/post/tasting-garnheath This one is rather special! New Products 27th May 2011

Posted by Alastair in New Products

Just in time for pay day two freshly bottled casks of Laphroaig and Bowmore courtesy of Duncan Taylor (the firms new distillery in Huntley may see construction begin later this year). Unusually, the Bowmore is sister cask to the bottling released at the beginning of the month (see 11th May, below). Three recent wood finishes from Edradour bottled at the end of 2010 plus a new Glendronach finished in portwood round up May. Very exciting announcements at The Whisky Barrel next month, stay tuned.
