NEW SCOTCH: We have a fantastic, rare new whisky in stock. Ever heard of Garnheath Distillery? Probably not. Only producing whisky for 21 years between 1865 to 1986 before being demolished in 1988, whisky from this Lost Scottish Distillery is very hard to come by. Our friends at Independent bottling company Morrison & MacKay have released a very limited 41 year single grain bottling and we LOVE it. We had a wee taste and you can read our blog here: https://www.thewhiskybarrel.co.uk/blog/post/tasting-garnheath This one is rather special! Blog: Glenrothes 25 Year Old & Westport 15 Year Old Burns Malt

Posted by Alastair in New Products

Two new single malt expressions have joined our exclusive Burns Malt™ Scotch whiskey range today; Glenrothes 25 Year Old from Speyside & a mysterious Westport 15 Year Old.

The Glenrothes Scotch distillery sits next to the Burn of Rothesin the town of Rothes in the Speyside Scotch region of Scotland. Today the distillery is owned by London fine wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros & Rudd.

We selected this 25 year old expression because of its lushious mouth-watering citrus, watermelon and sweet juicy fruit flavours.

In the Highland corner, we present a Westport 15 Year Old Scotch. Wesport distillery, what is that? Westport is the name given to Glenmorangie single malt which has been tea-spooned with Glen Moray single malt (normally just 1% of the latter).

Distilled in 1997 this single oak cask hogshead expression boasts notes of ripe lemon, orchard fruits, nectarine and sweet malt.
