24 Days of Holiday Spirits – Day 21 – Misty Isle Gin

Now that we’ve only a few days left till Christmas, we thought it might be time to start thinking about rewarding yourself for finding, buying and wrapping all those gifts!

How about a G&T to accompany that mince pie? If gin is your tipple then our recommendation today will really be of interest.

The Isle of Skye Distillery was founded by brothers Thomas and Alistair Wilson at Portree on the Isle of Skye. The Wilson brothers took inspiration from the stunning local landscape and in particular, the Old man of Storr – a large pinnacle of rock that can be seen for miles around.

There really is a personal touch with this gin. Each bottle is batch numbered and signed by one of the brothers. And the bottles really are beautiful.

How does it taste?

Misty Isle Gin is made from 11 botanicals including; Juniper, coriander, grains of paradise, orris root, liquorice root, black cubebs, lemon peel and cassia bark.

The result is a refreshing gin that is Juniper heavy. But not too floral and with earthy undertones and a hint of spice. Subtle flavours of citrus.

Whether you’d like one for yourself or to gift to someone else, it’s available on our website. And if it is a gift then remember we can wrap it for you to make things even easier!
