NEW BLOG: We visited the brand new Isle of Harris Distillery last week as they celebrated their official grand opening. Today, they open to the public. And we can vouch for it being a fantastic new distillery and very welcoming to visitors. Can't wait for the whisky to roll out of here in a few years. Isle of Harris Distillers Ltd RT @Pop_Noir: @WhiskyBarrel @Glendronach @Kilchoman05 hoping that the sun will follow me up to Glencoe in a weeks time :)

Ardbeg Corryvreckan Committee Reserve Islay single malt Scotch whiskey. Limited edition of 5,000 bottles released in 2008 to distillery Committee Members.

The bottle takes its name from the famous Corryvreckan whirlpool (from the Gaelic Coirebhreacain meaning "cauldron of the speckled seas") which runs between the islands of Jura and Scarba. It is the 3rd largest whirlpool in the world.

All the classic Ardbeg flavours are here. Rich, smoky and spicy with a long finnish.

Ardbeg Distillery was established in Ardbeg on the Kildalton Peninsular on the Isle of Islay in 1815 by John McDougal. Ardbeg Distillery draws soft peaty water from Loch Uigeadail and Loch Airigh nam Beist up amongst the hills behind the distillery. Ardbeg Distillery is a participant in the world famous Feis Ile, the annual Islay Festival of Malt and Music. Visitors are welcome at the distillery visitor center which offers Ardbeg Distillery tours and serves delicious Scottish fare in the Ardbeg Café.
