NEW SCOTCH: We have a fantastic, rare new whisky in stock. Ever heard of Garnheath Distillery? Probably not. Only producing whisky for 21 years between 1865 to 1986 before being demolished in 1988, whisky from this Lost Scottish Distillery is very hard to come by. Our friends at Independent bottling company Morrison & MacKay have released a very limited 41 year single grain bottling and we LOVE it. We had a wee taste and you can read our blog here: https://www.thewhiskybarrel.co.uk/blog/post/tasting-garnheath This one is rather special! AnCnoc Peter Arkle 2nd Edition Highland single malt Scotch whiskey. Limited edition in collaboration with the artist Peter Arkle and Knockdhu distillery. Matured in American and Spanish oak casks.

Nose: Sweet and full-bodied bursting with spicy vanilla and rich toffee aromas followed by fresh lemons, cooked green apples and a just hint of coconut.

Taste: Sweet, warm and spicy. Dried fruit cake, creamy vanilla and toffee are followed by a distinct note of zesty orange peel and enveloped in leathery richness.

AnCnoc

Knockdhu whisky Distillery produces anCnoc malt whisky in Scotland’s Highland whiskey region. Established in 1893 there are two stills with worm tubs and traditional dunnage warehouses where it matures both peated and unpeated anCnoc whisky.
