One of 6,642 individually numbered bottles released 2007. Exclusively matured in European sherry oak casks. A very highly regarded Lagavulin which is becoming increasingly sought after.

Heavy peat smoke, very peaty with familiar iodine and citrus. A smooth oily and rich chocolate fudge lingering taste. One of the very best premium Islay malts for many years.

Lagavulin

Lagavulin Distillery was established in 1816 by John Johnston on the rocky south coast of the Isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland. In 1908 Malt Mill Distillery was built next to Lagavulin Distillery but it closed in 1960 and is now a lost distillery. Lagavulin is a malt whisky distillery and offers distillery tours and participates in the Islay Festival of Malt and Music and the Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival.
