The small Hebridean island of Islay is famous for its heavily peat-smoke flavoured Malt Whiskies. Berrys’ Islay Reserve has been created by Berry Bros blending team, led by Douglas McIvor, to represent the standard-bearers of style and quality from the Islay region.

Beyond the smoky, medicinal core there is a seam of subtle yellow fruit. The deep smokiness of the palate leaves a warming kiss of peat which lingers long into the finish. In short, this is an Islay drinker’s Islay.

Blended Malt

Blended Malt is a mixture of two or more Single Malt Scotch Whiskies which have been distilled at more than one distillery. Because Scotland’s whisky blenders are able to standardise the colour, strength and taste in their blends their customers are assured of consistency in a product which may be marketed over a number of years. Formally known as a Vatted Malt.
