1992 vintage Laphroaig bottled January 2009. Matured in a single refill sherry butt #4825.

Sweetly spiced nose – phenolic, beachy and oceanic. The taste is full of phenols with a back up of iodine and tar. The finish is warm tar, creosote and peat like a warm beach hut.

Laphroaig Distillery was established in 1815 on the rocky south coast of the Isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland. Laphroaig is a malt whisky distillery which continues to malt barley using its traditional malting floors and malt kiln. In 1994 Laphroaig was awarded the Royal Warrant and it offers distillery tours from the visitor centre. Laphroaig Distillery participates in the Islay Festival of Malt and Music.
