"The Edinburgh Malt" This is the successor to the now discontinued ten year old, and a great improvement indeed. The extra two years of maturation has given the malt greater body and creaminess.

Glenkinchie is a Classic Malt of Scotland.

A light sweet nose with barley-malt, green grass and wisps of autumn smoke. Slightly sweet yet fresh, late summer fruits and harvest fields, young wood and malted barley.

Glenkinchie Distillery was established as Milton Distillery near Pencaitland by John Rate in 1825. Equipped with just two stills but the wash still is one of the largest in Scotland and the spirit is still cooled in two big worm tubs fed by the Kinchie Burn. The old maltings now house an excellent museum and visitor centre which offers distillery tours and samples of Glenkinchie single malt whiskies.
