The third release (of six) of the Preludium series from the Swedish distillery Mackmyra. The 03 release is matured in sherry casks, spiced over juniper and peat smoke. Includes the collectable packaging.

Young, smoky and fruity. The palate tastes of buttery chocolate and sweet raisins.

Mackmyra (Sweden)

Mackmyra Distillery was established in 1999 at Valbo near Gävle in south east Sweden and is the oldest working distillery in Sweden. Malted barley is dried with peat and Juniper smoke and a small proportion of the new spirit matured in Swedish oak casks. Commercial production commenced in 2002 and casks have been laid to rest at a number of unusual sites including an old mine, on a tiny island and in a castle. The first Mackmyra Swedish single malt whisky was released in 2006.
