Longrow Core Release 46% Campbeltown single malt Scotch whiskey, distilled at Springbank distillery. No-age-statement peaty Scotch.

Nose: Very creamy, vanilla custard. The smoke develops gradually, like a slow burning log fire, never overpowering but always reassuring. Our guest taster was reminded of marshmallows toasted on a campfire - crisp on the outside and sticky
sweet in the middle! Palate: Incredibly well balanced - rich and creamy with a slight medicinal hint. The smoke is always present, washing over the palate in waves, like the soft billows of smoke from the kiln.

Finish: The gentle smoke lingers and lingers leaving you yearning for more!

Longrow  (Springbank)

Springbank Distillery is the oldest, independent and family owned malt whisky distillery in Scotland having been founded in 1828 in Campbeltown at the foot of the Mull of Kintyre on the west coast of Scotland. Springbank produces three different types of malt whisky one of which is Longrow which was first produced in 1973 and is highly peated and double distilled. The barley is spread  across Springbank’s own traditional malting floors where it germinates and is then dried on the perforated floor of the kiln by hot  peat smoke for 48 hours. The name is in memory of  Longrow Distillery which sat adjacent to Springbank Distillery and is now one of Campbeltown’s  many lost distilleries. Longrow Distillery operated from 1824 until 1896.
