Amrut Indian Whisky

The distillery is situated in Bangalore in the state of Karnataka on the Mysore Plateau in central, southern India. Distillation of malt spirit began there during the early 1980s with the assistance of some Scottish expertise.
Barley is sourced from the Punjab and Rajasthan regions in northern India and also from Scotland. The whisky is matured in oak casks in Bangalore, therefore, in a tropical climate with dry seasons and rainy seasons, and at an altitude of 3,000m above sea level. Due to the high rate of evaporation of at least 12% per year it is difficult to store and age casks locally, therefore, in order to produce older whiskies some Amrut is mature in Scotland.

Cooley Irish Whisky

Cooley Distillery is the only independent, Irish-owned whiskey distillery in Ireland, converted in 1987 from an older industrial potato ethanol plant by John Teeling. The Distillery is located on the Cooley Peninsula in County Louth on Ireland's east coast.
What makes Cooley's whiskey distillery distinctive is their use of small copper pot stills with very large necks.
These cause the spirits to take 50 percent longer to pass through, and the distillers believe that the result is a more refined product.
