Description
To commemorate William Delme-Evans who designed the new Isle of Jura Distillery which was commissioned in 196.
Distilled 1988, re-racked from American White Oak into a Oloroso Sherry butt. One of just 757 bottles.
Distillery: Isle of Jura
A Mediterranean resort on a sunny day, a tad draughty on some other days. Sheltered by Islay, by the mighty Paps of Jura, washed by the warm Gulf Stream, fronted by palm trees. More Red Deer than people, tranquil and refreshingly quiet. A quiet and gentle whisky.
Tasting Notes
Rich and nutty. Silky notes of intense marzipan and ripe Seville oranges followed by crushed almonds, sweet bananas and mangos, with whispers of treacle toffee.
