Description
A 2007 single cask, individually numbered bottles, one of only 400. Distilled 1999 re -racked from American White Oak in September 2004 into an Oloroso Sherry butt.
A heavily peated Jura whisky, to commemorate the Crinan Classic Boat Festival and released exclusively during the 2007 Islay Festival of Malt and Music.
Distillery: Isle of Jura
A Mediterranean resort on a sunny day, a tad draughty on some other days. Sheltered by Islay, by the mighty Paps of Jura, washed by the warm Gulf Stream, fronted by palm trees. More Red Deer than people, tranquil and refreshingly quiet. A quiet and gentle whisky.
Tasting Notes
Autumn bonfire coupled with a tang of damp salt and peat. Feel the full force of sharp winds and driving rain in your face as this complex malt rolls over the palate to reveal its character of smoke, peat, tar rope and hints of lemon.
