Description
An unusual lightly peated lowland whisky. A new 7 year old batch from cask #333. Bottled April 2009.
Distillery: Bladnoch
Founded 1817 on the northern bank of the River Bladnoch in Wigtown, south west Scotland, the most southerly of Scottish distilleries. Closed in 1993 BUT back in production again in 2000 thanks to the determination of new owner Raymond Armstrong.
Tasting Notes
The first impression on the nose of this lightly peated whisky is of a slight smokiness and then just a drop of peat coming through on the palate as it mingles subtley with the traditional lowland flavours.
