Distillery: Clynelish

The original stone built Clynelish opened in 1819 was subsequently renamed. The newer and stylish, white washed and glass fronted, Clynelish built in 1967 sits along side; sort of twins. And here the distillery waters flows across hills containing deposits of real gold.

Tasting Notes

Firm, light to medium body. Pleasant mouthfeel, not as waxy as some expressions; maritime generally. On the palate is some salt in the aftertaste; dryish, even slightly bitter finish.
