Benromach Origins is a series of special bottlings crafted to highlight how small changes in the art of whisky making can help shape the character of the final single malt.

Benromach Origins - Batch 1 Golden Promise The first batch release in the series is produced using Golden Promise barley grown in the heart of Speyside. Matured in first and second fill sherry casks.

Distillery: Benromach

Founded in 1898 at Forres with views over the Moray Firth, and another Speyside distillery with feet in three centuries. Survived numerous closures, most recently reopened in 1998, and now thoroughly enjoying life and thriving in independent ownership. Benromach Organic distilled bottled in 2006 was the first single malt whisky to be fully certified as organic by the Soil Association.

Tasting Notes

This full bodied single malt displays a rich, fruity notes, intertwined with peat smoke and soft spicy flavours. The palate starts creamy and becomes very sweet. Heavily toasted malt influences with a very delicate smoke. Mouth watering and complex.
