An increasingly rare and collectable vintage Ardbeg.

Distillery: Ardbeg

Ardbeg is generally peaty, rich, smooth and very complex. Sweet malt, sea salt, dried fruits and rich Islay peat reek. Subject to closures, most recent reopening was 1998; the new 10 year old will be unveiled in 2008.

Tasting Notes

Very rich, almost grassy, malt and some well-groomed oak, there are delicious hints of roast coffee and hickory. This is a classic among classic Ardbegs – the balance of the nose and the palate is exactly how Ardbeg should be and the finish is magnificent.
