Description
A spectacular 25 year old Ardbeg. Stunning packaging includes a collectable scroll. The Lords of the Isles ruled the western isles of Scotland from the 12th to the 15th centuries.
Distillery: Ardbeg
Ardbeg is generally peaty, rich, smooth and very complex. Sweet malt, sea salt, dried fruits and rich Islay peat reek. Subject to closures, most recent reopening was 1998; the new 10 year old will be unveiled in 2008.
Tasting Notes
A peaty complexity of wood smoke, tarry rope and leather; all balanced by a delicate sweetness.
