Description
First instalment of the full strength rage. This is a thirteen year old, bottled 2004 from ex-sherry butts.
Distillery: Bruichladdich
Independent and privately owned; oceans of enthusiasm, tuns and tuns of attitude. Peating ranges from a few crumbs to a whole moor, and that’s just per bottle. Subject to closures, most recent reopening in 2001. Huge range, means that there is something for everyone.
Tasting Notes
Middleweight and muscular with a sturdy oak foundation. The nose is zesty, potent and appealing. Absolutely bursting with energy! It’s tangy, crisp and clean on the palate. Fruit and light oaky flavours in impressive harmony. The taste of old style handmade whisky is outstanding.
