Description
First release of the Historic 3D Peat Proposal series. One of 12,000 bottles. A bottling marrying three contrasting degrees of peated barley 5, 25 and 40ppm from three separate vintages of Bruichladdich 1989, 1998 and 2001 and three wood types refill sherry, refill bourbon and fresh bourbon.
Distillery: Bruichladdich
Independent and privately owned; oceans of enthusiasm, tuns and tuns of attitude. Peating ranges from a few crumbs to a whole moor, and that’s just per bottle. Subject to closures, most recent reopening in 2001. Huge range, means that there is something for everyone.
Tasting Notes
Oak, smoke and sweet vanilla add some pear and cinnamon. Rich syrupy gingerbread, dark Demerara sugared coffee made on peat and driftwood fires at Saligo Bay.
