New Douglas Laing Whiskies Big Peat 2012 & Director's Cut

Posted by Alastair in New Products

With the winter shopping season just around the corner the festive releases are beginning to arrive at Whisky Barrel Headquarters. First to set-foot in our grotto we're delighted to see our favorite malty super hero Big Peat return for Christmas 2012. This second release of the cask strength Islay Blended Malt contains Scotch whiskies from Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen distilleries. He is certainly looking forward to celebrating the holiday period with you!

Meanwhile, we bid a hearty cheer to the new additions to the Douglas Laing's Director's Cut series, launched just twelve months ago, which continues the theme of well-aged cask strength single malt and single grain Scotch; this series sits snuggly between the Glasgow firm’s uber-premium Platinum and Old Malt Cask ranges. And so for October 2012 we have a fine feast to hand at The Whisky Barrel, with gems from Springbank, Macallan and Glenlivet.
